Pershore to Stoulton

E(1)              From Pershore take the A44 towards Evesham. Just on the outskirts of Pershore find the Pershore Bridge Car Park and Picnic Site on the L. (Just after the bridge over the River Avon).

E(2)              Leave the car park and cross the river on the old bridge used by Cromwell. Cross A44 and go L to find a kissing gate in the railings just before the new bridge, take steps down to go with River Avon on your L..

E(3)              Follow the bank of the Avon for 1 mile, to cross foot bridge. Right turn and go diagonally across field to take stile to main road (Note This right turn is identified by the Plastic tunnels of the small garden centre to your right and a single spire church nestling in trees -If you go too far you end up at a boatyard, just walk back along the A 4104).

E(4)              On main road turn right and at garden centre cross road and go up slope (by a house called The Farthings”) marked as a Bridle path.

E(5)              At the top of lane go through gate at right of Woodman’s Cottage. Go to top right hand corner of field to find stile. Cross stile and go ahead with ditch L to come to stile into woods.

E(6)              Enter the ancient Tyddesley wood through the stile/gate and go ahead down bridle path through wood.

E(7)              Cross logging road, and continue pass Military Firing Range warning flag post, ignore side paths and maintain line down to bridge over Bow Brook.

E(8)              Go through gate and up field with fence R to find gate at the top of the field. (There is a FP sign in the hedge) This is Salter’s Lane.

E(9)              Cross Salter’s Lane and take gate opposite. Turn 1/2 right and go across field to top right hand corner and take stream bridge.

E(10)         After 40 paces turn L through gap into field. Go ½ R over centre of field, aiming for middle large tree, find foot bridge to right of tree. Cross footbridge. Cross next field to an old oak in the top right hand corner.

E(11)         Cross the ditch by the oak, no bridge, go 1/2 L to find field corner gap to road. You are now at Crab Common T-junction.

E(12)         Turn left and follow the road direction Croome / Kempsey for approximately 600 paces.

E(13)         Take roadside hedge gap R. Observe lone tree in centre of field. Head directly for tree - pass tree and at field edge go R 30 paces to find hedge stile and footbridge L.

E(14)         Cross stile and footbridge and go ½ L to find way mark post at wood edge. Turn L keeping the wood to your R. After 150 paces come to the Besford – Wadborough road.

E(15)         Go R 20 paces and the L on grassy bridleway into Croome Perry Wood. Turn right, as the bridleway does, and carry on with main body of the wood on your L until you meet the road at the outskirts of Wadborough. Go R and enter Wadborough ( telephone box at first road on right) Pass the Mason’s Arms if you dare ! Fine food (you need to book, even mid week lunch, and excellent beer TEL: 01905 840524.

E(16)         Go 100 paces past  pub cross stile R and take footpath sign ahead to cross the fields/stiles with hedge R to find road. Turn L and pass Wadborough Hall Farm.

E(17)         After a further 400 paces come to “Teal Turf”. Enter the drive and on the left, (across the fence about 20 paces down the drive) you see FP sign, cross the fence as best you can and then go through the works yard, the path is actually along the hedge but the working site means some slight diversions are required.

E(18)         Follow the hedge out of the yard up to the top of the large field and follow round the top of field for about 20 paces to find gap with ditch (no bridge).

E(19)         Go through gap into another field (Currently has 2 old caravans in it) Pass the caravans and walk across with the hedge on your right CAUTION; This field is used by the owners of a Dog clipping service and their ALSATIAN AND DOBERMAN MAY BE AROUND. They are not vicious but the owner will put them away if requested (OK for those heading South but Northbound take a stout stick in case you are nervous about dogs.

E(20)         Pass the dog owners bungalow, you get a wonderful close up of their lounge, and one other new bungalow, then you are in HAWBRIDGE.

E(21)         Follow the road to the corner of the Playground (Telephone box) and turn R, after 20 paces arrive at a T junction. The “Bird in Hand”, modern pub is on your right, but the route turns left and goes up hill until you meet the A44. Turn left and then first right into Church Lane to St. Edmund Church Stoulton.

Stoulton to North Piddle

E(22)         Face church at St Edmund, Stoulton. Go L. Take private drive and at divide of drives go L pass “The Tynings” to kissing gate.

E(23)         Go ½ L, under power lines, to take mid hedge gap and continue ahead on same line to come to bridge under railway.

E(24)         Go under railway and across field strip to come to gate leading over brick bridge. Go ahead with hedge R to top of large field. At uniform line of trees go L and follow round edge of field for some 150 paces to find gap R.

E(25)         Go through gap and take vehicle track, between barns to road. Go R and after some 30 paces, go L and make way between out building to field.

E(26)         Go R and continue around two field edges to find far R corner field gap. Go through gap and head up field with power lines to L, to come to mid hedge bridge and fence stile, maintain line ahead over coarse grass garden to reach gate leading to road

E(27)         Cross road and take stile into field. Go diagonally across field to come to strange stile at far L field corner. Cross fence and go L. Go diagonally to reach far R corner gate leading to road. Go R on road for some 200 paces. Just before trees find gate L with stile to the R. Over stile and go ahead up field to far R corner - find two stiles take stile in R hedge leading to road.

E(28)         Go L on road and pass through the village of White Ladies Aston. At the last house on the L take road to R leading past St John the Baptist church with interesting spire.

E(29)         After passing church immediately take stile L into field and gap with hedge R to reach junction of roads. Turn R on minor road, which passes houses R and becomes a track. After some 400 paces take careful note where the track bends to the right. Watch for unmarked gap L leading into copse. Take gap, through copse to find stile into field.

E(30)         Go ahead through field hedge gap, and then ½ L to find bridge stile by trees. Take stile and go with hedge L to finally come to far L field gate. Through gate and go R to find 7 bar metal gate leading into field.

E(31)         Go ½ R down field to find bridge over river. Cross river and go ½ R to pass to R of Oak tree and enter line of trees, continue on line and exit line of trees to find field with lone oak tree. Go past lone oak, up field to far R field corner and gate.

E(32)         Take gate and go L on vehicle track with large field to R. Follow vehicle track to road. Over road into driveway of Holy Oak Farm. Follow drive way through farm building to come to fence stile leading into field. Go ahead across field to find swing gate leading into grassy strip with house L, leading to road. Follow road ahead to pass church L and reach main road.

E(33)         Cross road and take ally way between houses to fence stile down field to mid fence stile 1/2 R to field corner gap Continue with hedge R through 2 fields to field corner stile to road.

E(34)         Cross road and take fence going through scrub continue with river L to drive way L to bridge gate. Go ½ R to field corner single tree. Go L with hedge R around field corner through gap with hedge R through gap.

E(35)         Enter left field and head directly past mid field power poles to find gated hedge gap. Take gap through plantation to gate onto road. Cross road, through gate and go with hedge L to field end, turn R, after some 30 paces take stile L to bridge over stream to stile through copse to exit by stile. Cross field ahead to stile top L corner with gate to road. Go L to cross roads. Turn R to find St Michael Church.

North Piddle to Inkberrow

E(36)         Face St Michael Church at North Piddle and go L for some 80 paces into residential property driveway "Swallow Barn". Go ahead up drive to find path leading to lawn. Go 1/2 R over lawn to take hedge archway stile to enter adjacent property. Follow hedge R to exit by stile.

E(37)         Go 1/4 L up field to find mid fence stile. Carefully cross stile [SAFETY] and go 1/2 L to find field corner gate. Through gate and go with hedge L to take corner gate. Go 1/2 L up field towards tower of Flyford Flavell church. Exit field by right hand of two stiles. 

E(38)         Go ahead 30 paces and take gap in fence to enter paddock. Go ahead to pass between two dew pond to take stile, and ahead to take further stile. Go ahead to pass between house on your R and tennis court on your L to come to driveway. Cross driveway and take stile into churchyard; pass front entrance of church. A tarmac footpath takes you round the church to a kissing gate, and onto the road at Flyford Flavell.

E(39)         Turn R. Come to a road junction on which the pub, The Boot,  stands. Proceed straight across the road junction and follow the road. Pass speed de-restriction sign and after some 40 paces take stile L.

E(40)         Go ahead with fence R across field to find stile. Cross stile and go ahead with hedge L. The village of Kington can be seen on the hill to your R. At the end of the field take stile [SAFETY] some 20 paces to R of gateway.

E(41)         Go directly across centre of field to find stile. Cross stile [SAFETY] most carefully and go ahead over next field, passing dew pond R, to come to mid hedge fence stile. 

E(42)         Take stile and go R to follow round field edge with hedge R. Ignore path R over stream, but continue to follow round field with hedge R to corner gap leading to road.

E(43)         Cross road and go slightly to the R and cross over stile. Go R and pass  house on R to find hedge stile slightly L of field corner.

E(44)         Cross stile, go ahead, pass to R of area of  young trees and exit field by gateway. Continue straight ahead and after about 40 paces cross double stile into field with area used for horse jumping. The footpath goes diagonally across the horse jumping area to a stile in fence (which the owners say they will put in shortly.

E(45)         Go ½ R and cross double stile. Go ¼ L to left-hand corner field stile. Take stile and go ahead under power cables to far bottom left hand field corner. Some 30 paces to L take double stile forming bridge over stream. Go ½ R across field to gateway onto road (A422).

E(46)         Opposite is a minor road to Dormston. Turn R on A422 and walk towards Inkberrow. After about ½ mile watch for wooden footpath sign L. Cross stile? and go down steps to edge of field.

E(47)         Go with hedge R. Watch for stile and bridge R over a stream. Take bridge and go ahead to aim R of tower on far hill. 

E(48)         At far end of field take stile by tree about 60 paces L of  right-hand corner of the field. 

E(49)         Cross stile / bridge over small stream.  Continue ½ L across field to far corner stile. 

E(50)         Cross stile and go ½ R towards farm buildings. Pass under power lines and go with fence R to find mid fence metal gate leading to farm driveway. Go through gate onto driveway, after 50 paces turn L. Just before last cattle shed go L to pass round two sides of shed to corner fence stile at back of shed leading into field.

E(51)         Cross fence stile and go diagonally up field to opposite corner. Exit by fence stile onto road. Go R to crossroads. 

E(52)         At the crossroads go L on Withybed Lane. After about 250 paces take footpath R up steps to alleyway between properties, leading to stile into field. Take stile and go with hedge R. Pass to the R of barns and go through double metal gates to find farm track. ( Kissing gate ahead leads to Tuer Way, Inkberrow.)

Inkberrow to Coughton

E(53)         Stand on grassy track with back to kissing gate at end of Tuer Way - go R on track. Take stile [SAFETY] and go with hedge L for 50 paces, then some 20 paces R to find stile and then turn L to go with hedge L through fields to road (Stonehouse Farm).

E(54)         Turn R at road and go some 250 paces to find footpath L just before house, follow path into sports field, go with hedge L to find field corner stile.

E(55)         Cross stile and go with hedge L for some 50 paces to find mid fence stile. Take stile and go ahead with hedge R through two fields to road. Over road, through gate and go with hedge L. At bend in field take stile in corner.

E(56)         Head diagonally down field to bottom corner to find stile. Take stile to road, go R 10 paces and take stile R. Go 1/4 L up steep slope to find stile at top of hill. Take stile and go L with hedge L for some 300 paces to find L gap.

E(57)         Go through gap and go R to go with hedge R and follow previous heading. At top of field go L and take gate (No waymarks). Take gate follow hedge L to corner of field. 20yds past corner of field take stile into small thicket with pond on L.

E(58)         Make way through tree plantation to exit by 3 bar fence stile to field. Turn L and cross field to R of large tree to stile. Cross stile follow hedge R to stile in corner of field. Cross stile go 1/2 R to stile by telegraph pole.

E(59)         Cross stile, and go with hedge R to find gate R by cottage with thatched roof. Take gate and follow driveway to road. Cross road, over stile, into cottage yard and over stile into field.

E(60)         Go with hedge R through two fields. At end of second field find fenced corner shrub. Cross fence into shrub and exit by corner into next field. Continue previous line with hedge R. At field corner find stile hidden in bushes. Cross stile and go with hedge R. Pass Kennels on L to come to road.

E(61)         Turn R onto road and follow to Big Bouts Farm. Take farm drive and follow track round R through gate. Follow track, ignore gate ahead when track bend L, go to gate at end of track.

E(62)         Through gate, over stream and straight over field to stile/gate. Cross stile and next field to stile. Cross stile, head for L of Mearse Farm to find far L corner gate.

E(63)         Take gate and go R with hedge R to find corner fence stile. Take fence stile and go 1/2 L to mid fence stile. Cross stile and turn R through coppice to road.

E(64)         Turn L on road after some 200 paces take footpath L. Follow path with hedge on R. Some 80 paces before field end take gap in hedge. Through gap and follow hedge L to gate. Pass Gas compound on L to gate.

E(65)         Take gate and follow track to gate to road. Cross road and take stile, go ahead with hedge R, pass through some 6 fields maintaining line. Note at bridge with numerous waymarks continue ahead. Eventually come to kissing gate leading to passageway to road.

E(66)         Go L on road to T junction. Turn R, pass “Neville Arms” to main road.

E(67)         Cross road and take stile to left of Gas sub station. Go with hedge L to exit field by stile to wood. Through wood and exit by stile into field.

E(68)         Go 1/2 R to find fence. Go with fence R to find mid fence stile. Take stile and make way through wood to exit by stile on to slope. Go L 5 paces up slope then R along field edge for some 50 paces to find grassy vehicle way R down though trees to lower field. Go to L of isolated building and bend L round the base of field mound to find corner gate.

E(69)         Take gate and go R down grassy vehicle way to cross drive and go with field hedge R. After second set of over head power lines take wide gap and continue ahead with hedge L. Pass through one field and in vast second field go with hedge L - do not take gaps left - some 40 paces before end of field - take wooden bridge over steam L.

E(70)         Go ahead across field to go with hedge R. Exit field by far R corner gap to road.

E(71)         Go R on road for some 40 paces and take secondary road L (Coughton Lane) follow lane for 1 mile to come to main A435. Cross road to find travellers monument outside Coughton.

Coughton to Henley in Arden

E(72)         Stand with back to travellers memorial  on main road outside Coughton Court (by pedestrian traffic lights). Go R along main road A439 to pass in front of Coughton Court. Pass car entrance, over River Arrow and turn immediately R to pass in front of a pair of cottages to a stile by a National Trust sign for Coughton Court.  Cross stile and go half L across field to distant stile. Cross stile and go with metal fence L to find corner stile by electricity pole. Cross stile and go L along edge of field with hedge fence and ditch L to field corner. Turn R and go with hedge L to find stile by an oak tree.

E(73)         Cross stile and go 1/2 R across field to double stile in hedge with ditch. Cross stile and find River Arrow bank on R. Go with river bank R to come to foot bridge over river. Cross footbridge and go straight across field, aim for distant church. Go through kissing gate to R of church and turn L along track to road.

E(74)         At road turn R and proceed to pass a cottage on the L hand side then turn L off road by wide recessed field entrance and cross stile on R and then diagonally to cross a second stile. Turn R and pass along a fenced way at the back of cottages. Go through metal gate. Proceed uphill with hedge on L reach summit ignoring stile on L and reach stile in top corner of field. Cross stile and go straight ahead passing twin timber electricity poles in middle of field and continue downhill to go through large gap on left in hedge and turn R (Going parallel with power cables).

E(75)         Proceed forward along field edge with hedge on R to reach corner of field turn R through gap in hedge then immediately L and continue forward downhill along field edge now with hedge now on your L. At bottom of hill reach junction of three tracks and cross stile to R of entrance to a large house and barns into garden. Proceed along edge of lawn with a deep ditch and hedge on your R and a pond over to your L, to a stile.

E(76)         Cross stile (taking particular care as it partly overhangs ditch) and continue forward along field edge with ditch and hedge on your R then about three quarters of the way along this field bear away L towards metal gate. Go through metal gate and cross a narrow stream then go diagonally R, line is mid field pylon, across field to far corner and cross ditch in hedge by planked footbridge onto road.

E(77)         At road turn L and pass metal gated entrance drive to Morton Common Farm on your L to reach vehicle track on your L signed to "Rutlands" and "Mcdonald". Turn L onto vehicle track and proceed uphill passing "Rutlands" and at top opposite entrance to “Mcdonald” cross stile on your R, by sign to the church on an electricity post, into field and turn L along field edge.

E(78)         In a few yards come to a corrugated iron fence on your L and just before the adjoining chicken battery house turn R at way marker and cross field half L to wooden stile in far L-hand corner. Cross stile and proceed along field edge with hedge on your L side to a stile set in metal gate in hedge.

E(79)         Cross stile and proceed along field edge with hedge on your L side to pass cattle trough. The hedge peters out but go straight forward to a metal gate. Go through gate and proceed uphill along field edge with barbed wire strand fence on your L.  At brow go down to bottom of field. Ignoring first gate on your L, turn L go through next farm gate on L in hedge and turn immediately R across a ditch and through another metal gate. Go diagonally across the next field to reach a metal gate.

E(80)         Go through gate and cross half R over field to mid hedge stile. Cross stile and proceed along field edge with hedge on your L to stile onto road. Turn R and walk uphill to Bannams Wood on your L. Continue forward and go downhill to where road bends R by a house “Highfield” and turn L to cross stile onto a track into Bannams Wood. (Note that the woods are a “Site of Special Scientific Interest”).

E(81)         Go forward climbing up track. At division of paths, just before brow of hill, turn R. Continue forward going left where track divides. Continue up to find a derelict wagon on your R and go ahead to cross stile. Follow path as it meanders through wood and come to a fence. Cross out of woods into a short pathway with hedge on R and fence on L.

E(82)         At end turn R over fence and immediately L into field. Following field edge with hedge on L go steeply down hill to field corner passing pond on L and then turn half L to go through some saplings to cross a stile to road. Go straight across road and go through gap in hedge into field.

E(83)         Follow field edge with hedge on L to field corner and pass through gap in hedge. Continue forward along field edge with hedge on L to field corner to cross stile. Go half R to stile in centre of far hedge. Cross and go forward across centre of field to stile and wooden planked footbridge over deep ditch in hedge. Cross and continue ahead over top of hill and on to stile in double fenced hedge in field corner. Cross and go forward to stile in second double fenced hedge. Cross and go half left down hill to stile in hedge. Cross and continue forward passing marker post in field centre to far L field corner.

E(84)         Turn L over a metal footbridge across stream and immediately cross stile to go down a step to cross culverted ditch and half R up steps to stile. Cross and turn L along field edge with hedge on L to reach two oak trees about three quarters of way up field and turn R across field to stile in timber rail fence. Cross into paddock and go ahead to stile and cross into small Orchard. Go ahead to cross next stile on to tar macadam drive. Go half R on to gravel drive to house on R and cross unusual stile in wall by wooden gate and reach road with Well Cottage on your R. (Take a few moments to look down old well.)

E(85)         Go straight across road to cross stile. Go half L over brow of hill to see and reach marker post against L hedge and then forward across field to next marker post and almost immediately to a third marker post in L field corner. Turn L down steps to stile. Go R across stile and follow sunken path down to enclosed field edge path with hedge on R, to stile. Cross stile and immediately cross metal footbridge across ditch into field. Go half L to top L field corner to pass through a kissing gate. (Another opportunity if you missed the first).

E(86)         Go forward along fenced path with allotments on both sides (Look out for the elderly couple on your L!) to cross over railway footbridge and go half L down path to Station Road. Turn L and after some 10 paces take alleyway L leading down to High Street. Cross road, turn R and come to the church of St John the Baptist.

Henley in Arden to Hockley Heath

E(87)         From the church of St John the Baptist on High Street, Henley. Go up adjacent  Beaudesert Lane, cross bridge, pass a church L to find kissing gate giving access to footpath leading up the hill to Motte & Bailey ruins.

E(88)         Follow the highest path (do not descend) for about 1 mile eventually go under power lines to find corner. Ignore stiles and go L through gateway along ridge with hedge R and panoramic views L. Take stile (Heart of England Way) and go 1/2 L to take mid hedge stile.

E(89)         Go L on corridor path, after 150 paces take hidden path L to come to fence. Take fence into corner of field and go ahead with hedge L to come to ridge with fine view, go 1/2 R carefully down hill to find R field corner gate. Take gate and go ahead across field centre to find stile adjacent to gate leading to overgrown path alongside gate entrance and then parallel to the lane.

E(90)         Turn right on lane for about ¼ mile. At 'T' junction take road R and after 15 paces take kissing gate R. Go ahead over field to take mid fence metal kissing gate and then ahead to pass through wooden kissing gate to come to stile.

E(91)         Take stile and go ahead straight up steep hill to find corner stile.

E(92)         Cross stile, go through copse and exit by stile to field. Head straight across field to find corner and continue ahead with hedge R. Exit field by gap and go ahead with hedge R for 50 paces. Take gap R and go L following field edge to exit field by hedge gap. Go ahead across field corner to tree line. At tree line go L with trees R. Watch for farm building R, come to driveway.

E(93)         Go R on driveway and immediately take grassy track L. After some 120 paces go L to find field edge. Go up field edge, pass under power cables and at top right field corner, by copse, go R to find hedge gap to farm driveway. Go L to road junction.

E(94)         Turn right and walk for about 3/4 mile until you reach a staggered crossroads.  Go ahead on (Tapster Lane). After about 1/4 mile, after L hand bend,  pass Holly Tree Cottage on L. After some further 50 paces watch for fence stile L into field corner.

E(95)         Go 1/2 R to take field corner stile. Go R with hedge R. Some 50 paces before field corner find hidden hedge gap R. Through gap, over bridge and stile, and go L with hedge L to field corner stile. Cross stile , go R 3 paces  and take stile R. Go down field with hedge R to find corner stiles. Take stiles to road.

E(96)         Cross road and go ahead on rough vehicle way. After some 150 paces take stile L into field. Go with hedge R leading into scrub to find stile. Cross stile and over narrow field, through gate and head for motorway bridge. Make way over M40 motorway via stiles and steps.

E(97)         Some 20 paces after motorway bridge take stile R and go through tree line to enter field. Go 1./2 R to find hedge gap. Through gap and go with hedge  L. Ahead find groundsman's lean to shed by driveway, go R on driveway to exit property leading to narrow lane.

E(98)         Turn right and go up lane to find St Mary's church. At church go L down footpath with tree line R to find stile. Cross stile and go ahead over hill to come to stile / bridge.

E(99)         Cross stile / bridge and go R (no waymark) with stream R to find corner stile, over stile and continue ahead along narrow field to corner gate. Go up centre of field to end of tree line and find stile by gate. Take stile and go ahead with hedge R.

E(100)     Pass through farm buildings to find farm driveway leading to bridge over canal. Cross bridge and turn L going with canal L.

E(101)     Walk along side canal for about 1½ mile until you reach The Wharf public house.

Hockley Heath to Meriden

E(102)     Face Wharf Tavern Inn in Hockley Heath. Go R on main Stratford Road. At The Nags Head go R into Aylesbury Road; continue for ¾ mile to come to road junction. Go ahead on Vicarage Road and continue to junction of road. Go R on Glasshouse Lane; as road bends R take driveway L to St Giles Church Packwood.

E(103)     At car park take kissing gate into church ground and take path round to front door of church. With back to front door of church go directly ahead on pathway to find kissing gate into field. Go 1/2 L down field to hedge and then L to kissing gate under power lines. Go ahead over centre of field to exit field by kissing gate to road. Go R on road (ignore Grove Lane) and come to Packwood House

E(104)     Turn your back on Packwood House with its sundial and beautifully trimmed yew trees. Go ahead to R of yew trees to find steps up to Iron Gate leading to avenue of trees. Go on avenue, at end take kissing gate to road. Go R, pass open fields on your L, just before house on L take kissing gate to signed footpath.

E(105)     Go with hedge R to reach kissing gate to driveway go R 10 paces and take kissing gate L to public footpath leading round garden and house to come to kissing gate and further passageway to house driveway. Up driveway to road. Go L over railway bridge pass Station Lane right and just after road sign (caution horse riders) take footpath L and short passage and stile to field.

E(106)     Cross stile and with hedge R negotiate over numerous stiles to come to second stile bridge stile leading into field. Continue with hedge L to take stile to R of gate. Go through paddock and exit by field corner stile to driveway. Go R on driveway, ignore branch road, continue to main road and go R for some 50 paces.

E(107)     Before house with beautiful Yew Tree hedge go R through swing gate to driveway to canal bridge. Over bridge and go L on towpath with canal L. Under two bridges and some 10 paces after second bridge, at Black Boy Pub, take ramp way up to pub car park.

E(108)     Go down pub drive way to main road, go L. At left hand bend, cross road and take gate to right of Dial House entrance. Go down pathway leading to gate onto farm track.  Go ahead under power cables and after 100 paces turn left. Go through gate and follow path through coppice and then with hedges on both sides. As approach house bear left along path to road. 

E(109)     Go R on road towards Chadwick End.  Go L at junction and after 30paces take stile L.  Go L with hedge R to come to farm track.  Where second set of power cables cross overhead, take stile R to farm track to wards farm. Cross stile and go R following farm drive to lane.  Turn R and after about 100 paces take path L. Go with hedge L. 

E(110)     At end of field go ahead through hedge on Heart of England Way. Continue with hedge on R under power cables.  Over stile across field to stile and continue across field to footbridge. 

E(111)     Straight ahead up field to marker post. Continue ahead with hedge L to road.  Turn L for about 100 paces to find green corrugated building on L, immediately  take gap R over stile.  Go with hedge R to field end and stile to R of white house. Go L on lane to main road. (With a short diversion you can visit the Saracens Head.) 

E(112)     Go L. Cross road at driveway of last house and go over stile. Go with hedge L to take stile and continue with hedge L.  Cross stile to field with bridge over stream in middle and over stile. 

E(113)     Along hedge on right side of field and through gap in hedge at end of field (ignore stile on right).  Continue along hedge on left, and over stile into small coppice and cross footbridge. 

E(114)     Along L hand hedge to wood, turn R along edge of wood.  L over stile and turn R on driveway which passes through brick gate posts and joins local road.  Continue down this road until reaching road junction. 

E(115)     Turn R and after short distance turn L at main road. Walk along path and cross dual carriageway into road signed Berkswell.  Just after bungalow on R take kissing gate on L and go through small wood and along L hand edge of field. At end of field and before lake in front of Berkswell Hall, turn L – leaving the Heart of England Way.

E(116)     Pass through trees and cross the middle of field, heading for corner at edge of wood. Go through kissing gate and through wood. Path then goes along R hand hedge of two fields. Go through kissing gate and continue round field with wood R. Turn R through kissing gate and go into wood. Turn L along edge of wood keeping to R of pond.

E(117)     Over stile at end of wood and along edge of left hand hedge. As path approaches farm turn right at gatepost and go with high broken hedge on your left. Through kissing gate and across field to bridge and then across field to stile. Bear left along path at edge of field and turn right at road.

E(118)     High bank on L due to quarry workings, go through gate and continue along road to footpath on L. Over stile and along fenced path with field and then gravel workings on L.  At road, turn R and after 50 paces, just before house, turn L along path with quarry workings on L.

E(119)     Continue over footbridge, the path turns right and then left at fence. This part of the path is usually waterlogged. Along rising fenced path and at top go over a stile on right.

E(120)     Go diagonally L across field and downhill to metal gate. Cross corner of field to stile and wooden bridge.

E(121)     Go diagonally L up field to furthest corner stile by gate onto road. Go R on road, after some 60 paces take unmarked hedge gap L and follow path round R for some 80 paces find hidden stile R in hedge row.

E(122)     Take stile and go down passageway to find road. Go R on road to roundabout, turn R on main road to reach Cyclist Memorial - Meriden.

Meriden to Kenilworth

E(123)     With shops behind face the Cyclists Memorial at Meriden. Go L down main road to pass Bulls Head Hotel.

E(124)     Continue on road and take Berkswell Road R. Go up hill, just before Bonnifinglas Guest House take stile L. Go 1/2 R across paddock corner to find mid fence stile.

E(125)     Cross stile and go 1/2 L across paddock to find mid fence stile. Take stile and go R up field with hedge R, at field corner go L.

E(126)    Watch for way marked mid hedge gap R. Take gap and go L. with hedge L to copse. Continue with copse L to find grassy exit track. Take track to gate onto road. Go ahead.

E(127)    Pass St Laurence Church and continue past houses to house (Fentham) on R at road corner. Take grassy vehicle track to left of house to find stile by gate

E(128)    Cross stile and go ½ R across field to exit by far R corner gate. Go via muddy strip over pipeline and field to take R hand of two field gates.

E(129)    Go ahead on track with hedge L. Where track turns L go ahead with hedge L to find gap with stile.

E(130)    Cross stile and go ½ R to cross field to reach far R hand corner of wood. STOP - turn your back to wood then go ahead ½ L back across the field you are already in to find stile at L corner of  wood opposite (This apparent doubling back is to ensure public rights of way are followed. At field corner cross stile enter wood to take short path to bridge stile into field.

E(131)    Go R 25 paces and turn L up field centre to skyline hedge gap. Through gap and continue ahead with hedge L. Follow track round past barn right to road. Go L on road, pass Shirley Lane, under pylons and take stile R opposite Oak Farm

E(132)    Go ¼ L to top far corner stile. Cross stile and continue down field to far L corner gate. Through gate and continue ahead through scrub to stile on to road. Go R and after some 250 paces pass two cottages on L.

E(133)    Face last cottage and take path to R of cottage passing through garden with cottage L to reach fence gap exit to find hidden passage. Take passage to reach stile leading into overgrown field.

E(134)    Make way through field with hedge R and far pylons R  to reach far R corner stile. Take stile and go L with hedge L to come to field corner stile. Take stile and go R to hedge gap continue ahead under pylons to hedge gap

E(135)    Through gap and continue ahead with hedge L to field corner stile, through collecting paddock, to stile and road. Go L after 40 after paces take driveway R. At driveway end take stile to field. Go L and follow round two sides of field to come to field corner.

E(136)     At field corner go ahead over field towards pylon to reach hedge. Go with hedge R to field corner stile. Cross stile and go L with hedge L to field stile

E(137)     Cross stile and go L with hedge L to field stile. Continue ahead down field to take gap with difficult to find ditch bridge some 20 paces in from L hand corner of field. Continue ahead to hedge gap and various way mark signs.

E(138)     Do not go through gap but REMAIN IN FIELD and go R with hedge L to field corner and ditch bridge. Cross ditch bridge and go ahead with hedge L to left corner ditch bridge stile. Cross stile and go 1/4 R towards power pole with adjacent ditch bridge.

E(139)     Cross bridge and go ahead with hedge L to stile to road. Go L 20 paces and turn R down Truigist Lane and then L on Hodgetts Lane. Continue on Hodgetts Lane over railway bridge and go immediately R along drive way

E(140)     Pass Beechwood Farm Cottage and immediately afterwards take latch gate L. Go ½ R across paddock to take mid fence latch gate into field. Go ½ L to find far R corner stile. Cross stile and go L on vehicle way. Follow vehicle way bending L with hedge R to reach way mark stile by gateway.

E(141)     Cross stile and go with hedge R under pylons to take stile bridge stile to field. Go ahead with hedge R to field corner gap and ditch bridge. Cross ditch bridge and field strip to take stile to steps up to disused railway path

E(142)     Go R 5 paces and take steps down to stile. Cross stile and go with hedge R to field corner stile. Cross field corner stile and continue with hedge R to ditch bridge stile. Cross stile and continue ahead to field corner stile. Cross stile into passageway leading to vehicle track, to driveway and road

E(143)     Go R on Old Waste Lane, opposite house called Holsworthy take stile to field. Go 1/2 R to exit field by far corner gap to main road. Cross road and take stile by gate into field. Go with fence R to field corner. Continue ahead across field to large kissing gate.
